In the end, there are some bug fixes an enhancements. My guess is that there will be another update later this month to accommodate the new MMS messaging being released by AT&T on September 25th. MMS you say? Hmm. You will be able to add media to your texting, yup!

AT&T account application for iPhone. myWireless

in

AT&T has released a new application for the iPhone called myWireless (free) that allows you to check your data useage, minutes used, pay your bill, or even add service to your exsting plan.

If you are planning on a little overseas trip this summer, you can use this app to purchase a plan to cover you in over 200 countries, as well as plans to extend your data. Normal disclaimer: read the fine print before making a change to your plan.

To get the application lookup myWireless in the iTunes app store. It's free.

Replacing your iPhone just got a whole lot cheaper.

in

Maybe your one of the many people who have accidentally dunked your iPhone, and after panic set in, you dried it out and found that it started back up. Then after a few weeks, you realize that it just isn't the same phone anymore and it needs to be replaced.

The policy had been that you would have to either pony up the $599 for a new phone or cancel your conract, or some other undesirable scenario. Now there is a better option to replace your iPhone.

Create an iTunes App Store account without a credit card

in

I was recently helping someone set up their new iPhone, and showing them all the cool things you could do with it using applications. We know that to get applcations you have to setup an iTunes app store account, which requires a credit card. No longer.

Apple will now allow you to open an ITMS (iTunes Music Store) account with no credit card. Of course, that limits you to downloading only free apps.

Here is their tutorial on how to do it.
