Installing Office Communicator 2007 R2 on Windows Mobile

Download Software from Mobile Phone | optional settings

If you have a mobile device with a data plan and your company already deployed Office Communications Server 2007 R2, you can now download Communicator Mobile software directly from your mobile phone. Simply go to www.getcomo.com from you mobile browser and the site will point you the right software version.

Step 1)

Using the broswer on your Windows mobile device, go to www.getcomo.com and select Windows Mobile as your device and choose:

- Professional version for touchscreen phones

- Standard version for non-touchscreen phones.

Step 2)

Install the Office Communicator software.

Step 3)

Start the Office Communicator applications from the Start menu, and accept the license agreement.

Step 4)

Select "Options" from the sign in screen.

Step 5)

Select account to reveal the account settings, and enter your SIP address (firstname.lastname@unt.edu).

Step 6)

Enter your Domain\username in the appropriate field as UNT\euid0001

Step 7) Enter your password and check the "Remember password" box.

At this point, you can click done and Sign-in to OCS.

Note: The first time you login, it may take a few minutes while the Communicator client locates and configures the server settings.

Optional Settings for Windows Mobile Office Communicator 2007 R2

Going back to the "Options" menu, "General" settings; you will see the options that are available to you in this version of the client. Select those that are suited to your communications needs.
