Running Microsoft Outlook on Vista in Compatibility Mode
Compatibility mode is a special feature for Windows Vista. It allows the user to run programs that were written for Windows XP or Windows 2000 on Windows Vista without problems. Setting up the compatibility mode for Windows Vista is a very simple task, which can be completed in very few steps.
Step 1
Click the Start button and then type in the name of the program that you want to make compatible.
Step 2
When the program appears, right-click the name and select properties.
Step 3
Select the Compatibility tab.
Step 4
Check the box next to “Run this program in compatibility mode for.”

Select the Windows version that you want and click OK.
