How do I redirect my unanswered calls to the new Exchange Unified Communications voice-mail service?
If your email account was recently enabled for Unified Messaging (voice mail), there are a few things you need to do before you can start using it. Note: Only follow these proceedures if Unified Messaging is enabled on your account. If you are unsure, contact your network manager.
Redirect "Forward on Busy"
From the phone that is associated with your voicemail, do the following:
Step 1)
Get dialtone. Dial *91. Wait for the confirmation tone to sound (it sounds similar to a busy signal). Then hang up.
Step 2)
Get dialtone. Dial *90. Wait for shutter dialtone to sound, then dial 5000. Wait for confirmation tone and then hang up.
Redirect "Forward on No-Answer"
From the phone that is associated with your voicemail, do the following:
Step 1)
Get dialtone. Dial *93. Wait for the confirmation tone to sound. Then hang up.
Step 2)
Get dialtone. Dial *92. Wait for the shutter tone to sound, then dial 5000. Wait for confirmation tone and then hang up.
Redirect all calls to voicemail
Should you want all calls forwarded to voicemail, do the following:
Step 1)
Get dialtone. Dial *73. Wait for the confirmation tone to sound. Then hang up.
Step 2)
Get dialtone. Dial *72. Wait for the shutter tone to sound, then dial 5000. Wait for confirmation tone and then hang up
Change voicemail back to Verizon
To use Verizon's voicemail again, simply follow the instructions above but substitute 4411 for 5000.
