OS X AMP Server Licensing

I get this question from time to time, and I'll post my reply here to
the question: "Does UNT have an AMP agreement for OS X Server in
addition to the client licenses?" In short, the answer is no. The long
answer is that Apple does offer AMP (Apple Maintenance Program) for its
OS X Server software, though on an individual machine basis.

This means that you purchase AMP at the same time that you purchase
your server. There is no site license, or bulk server maintenance
program like there is for the clients.

If I recall correctly, the price for OS X Server with the 3 year AMP is
educationally priced at $999, for the unlimited client license. The
limited client license with AMP will run you $499. You may complete
