Configuring Entourage for UNT Exchange Mail

Here is a quick overview of the settings required to receive mail using Microsoft Entourage 2004/2008 for Macs.

Here are the settings the you will need to enter into Entourage, either through the setup wizard or through the Account Settings menu.

Account Settings Tab

 

  • Name: Your name
  • E-mail address:first.last@unt.edu (how it appears in the UNT AD) Check with your network IT support staff if you are not sure.
  • Account Id: EUID
  • Domain: unt.ad.unt.edu
  • Exchange Server:gabcas01.ad.unt.edu
  • This DAV service requires a secure connection, CHECKED
Advanced Tab
  • LDAP Server: GABUNTDC01.unt.ad.unt.edu
  • Search Base: DC=unt,DC=ad,DC=unt,DC=edu
All other settings are optional. After you have made these settings you will need to give Entourage several minutes to cache your mail to your computer. Depending on how much mail you have, this could take up to 20 minutes.
